The Cornish Quilters are a group of quilters meeting monthly to plan and discuss various projects, learn new quilting techniques, share quilt patterns, and enjoy each others’ projects and company. We meet at the Cornish Flat Fire Station, on Route 120, on the first Thursday of the month at 7pm.
At the Thursday evening meeting, we schedule a daytime sewing day later in the month. This sewing day, also at the Cornish Flat Fire Station, is generally from 9am-3pm. Members are welcome to drop in with sewing machines or hand projects. Lunch and snacks are encouraged. We can use the kitchen at the station. All are welcome.
The Cornish Quilters manage the Quilt Department at the Cornish Fair in August. We make comfort quilts for Cornish residents who have a special need. We have an annual holiday potluck party every December with a Yankee Swap. We also host the Annual Cornish Hen Party on the first Sunday in June.
The Cornish Quilters do not have officers or dues. We are a friendly bunch. Newcomers to town are especially welcome. Please join us.
